In my opinion politicians have the best intentions, according to their level of awareness: the one for the country and its people, the other one for the longing to be be hailed and praised, to be the glorious one. Naive. Not even realizing, not aware, or maybe they are, that politics create a feeling in people of to be needed, but in fact they create needs in a so much growing complexity that nobody is capable to solve them. Politics create advantage out of that confusion. They blossom on it. Politics are based on differences and on NOT-agreeing, not searching for Unity but for what Devides, and creating >fear< for the other side, the other party, the other ideas. It is the growing fear that creates the need for defence, in our private lifes, in the society, need for, (when finally all fears have connected and found each other) the biggest monster: war industry. So, behind the facade of politics is indeed the war industry, and politicians are just the marionets of Capitalism, also in the so called Communist countries. Communism is also politics, power, overruling others, people, not idealism as it was in the beginning, both, Capitalism and Communism, in a smear campaingn against each other. Capitalism, and Communism as well, politics, are the mask of War Industry, based on materialism. Read for more: my Bulletin 1, 2012.

Not outside, but within our SELVES, thére it can be stopped, not somewhere else. It is the GREED, materialism, in human beings, what feeds Capitalism and keeps it alive. It is the fear again that someone takes what we “have”, “possess”, what we could buy with hard working, more and more, not knowing that in this way Capitalism could grow in such high dimensions that it could not go on.

Human beings lose their love for true Life, they lose the love “To Be” by loving Greed, materialism, that means: “To Have” more (than needed). They lose the quality of life, because Quality is not related with too hard and too much and too long working, running, stress, because of that, collecting more and more money because of the fear that the neighbours should have a more nice car, maybe a second car, a third, a fourth, a more modern TV, can spend more money for more holidays in a year, more expensive clothes, more new sofas, a second house, a boat.

Also insurance companies are based on fear and earn much money because of our fears. Health-care is big business and behind it is also Capitalism and NOT, as they pretend, Humanism. That is why Alternative Medicine cannot find its way next to the mainstream Health-Care and Pharmaceutical Industry. Pharmaceutical Industry is big business!! Capitalism there also! Alternative Medicine is based on Ethos and Ethics, on Humanity, on also natural ways of healing and the “old” values Hypocrates teached. Alternative medicine is based on true healing, and not on curing. Stopping symptoms is not the way. Though it is very nice fitting in the getting better as soon as possible because we have to go to work again, as soon as possible. Finally the symptoms grow into bad diseases. That is why hospitals never get empty. That is why the Pharmaceutical Industry is doing so well. Corruption also there. Alternative Medicine takes more time to get to the cause of the problems, to heal it from the roots, and that is why it is not so popular: you have to cope with the therapist, work at yourself, going deep inside your Self, body, mind, soul. When healed, that what creates diseases, has gone. Patients get better, and don’t need more health care. That is why it is not big business. No. But why should it be big business?

It sounds maybe strange but materialism is also the base of the mainstream Health Care. For the most of the people human beings are just a physical body, matter, not soul, not spirit, because soul and spirit do not exist for and in Science, not for those who studied medicine on the Universities. Also there materialism. What cannot be seen under the microscope does not exist. Naive in their way of thinking they don’t realize that their instruments are just (still) not sensitive enough to receive signals from that subtle “matter” . But light started shining in the medical darkness. Read a post about Pim van Lommel, Dutch cardiologist, in my Multerland blog.

When reading an article in Athens News about the searching of Greece (Damas) for connections with Israel I was surprised. Why should Greece have any need for better connections with Israel? What can Israel offer Greece, and vice versa, to get a better national income? Can Damas (from New “Democracy”) explain to the Greeks, to Europe, how war-industry in Greece can help Greece itself to get out of the problems? IF there should be a better national income, and it is earned because of war weapons used for killings in another country, how can Greece cry for help to survive itself when it is partly responsible for the destruction of another country? Where is Ethos? Ethics? As long Israel lives in war with Palestine, and people get killed there, traumatised, I do NOT support Israel. This, my statement, is about politics, and has nothing to do with racism. To understand me completely and before judging me for racism and anti-semitism: read

It is also true that Mikis Theodorakis has been judged for being an anti-semite because of his ideas about Palestine. Gail Holst wrote an article about it: Theodorakis protests. Europe is so corrupt that concerts with music from Mikis Theodorakis have been canceled because of this item. Everywhere marionets, robots, parrots, pretending to think by themselves but not daring to have another opinion.

Politicians don’t have any idea where they are working for, and IF, then they have to cope with other parties, othe countries, other political leaders and… fail. Finally they lose their dignity, and try to wash their hands in innocense. Where did we hear that earlier? Politics are misleading, not reliable, and it is better that the true democracy starts, in the people, showing that they are capable to work together, to unite, and to survive. We don’t need politics, just each other. And another view on Life. Another way of thinking.

Curious as I am, always, I searched for information about Gail Holst on internet and was surprised to see that she is a woman! I found on Denise Harvey’s (publisher) website more about her:

“Gail Holst-Warhaft was born in Australia but has spent most of her life involved with Greece. She has been, at various times, a journalist, broadcaster, writer, academic, musician, poet, and independent scholar. In the 1970s, while carrying out research for two books about Greek music, she performed as a keyboard-player with Greece’s leading composers, including Mikis Theodorakis and Dionysios Savvopoulos. She is a Professor at Cornell University where she directs a program of Mediterranean Studies.” Read more… , and more here… , and here!

She wrote the Biography on Mikis Theodorakis’s official website. Read… Biography Mikis Theodorakis, on Gail Holst’s own website. Read… Mikis Theodorakis, a man of Peace. Read… Mikis Theodorakis on Palestine and Israel. Read… Theodorakis’s Life. Read…

GREAT-BRITAIN

DECLARATION AND SIGNATURES IN “THE GUARDIAN” (13.2.)

The people of Greece face an unprecedented economic and political crisis (Violence grips Athens, 13 February). They are being driven to poverty and mass unemployment by the demands of the so-called Troika. Hospitals in Greece are running out of medicines, nearly half of all young people are unemployed, workers in some sectors have not been paid for months, the living conditions of pensioners are being severely attacked, and many people are forced to resort to soup kitchens or scavenge from rubbish dumps.

Now the Troika demands a cut of 23% to the minimum wage, the sacking of tens of thousands of public sector workers and further cuts to pensions which have already lost nearly 50% of their value. International capital is asset stripping an entire country and ripping apart its social fabric. Greece is at the cutting edge of the austerity measures that are being introduced across Europe. All the evidence shows that while these measures may protect the interests of the rich, they just make matters worse for the majority of the population. What happens in Greece today we will see in Portugal tomorrow and in Ireland the day after. In Britain, the coalition government is pursuing similar measures which will see workers’ earnings reduced, see them working longer for a smaller pension, and the NHS dismantled, along with other public services.

Mikis Theodorakis, famous Greek composer of Zorba’s Dance, and Manolis Glezos, veteran resistance fighter against the Nazi occupation, have issued a call for a European Front to defend the people of Greece and all those facing austerity. We have decided to support this call and work with trade unions, campaigns and parties across Europe to establish a European Solidarity Campaign to defend the people of Greece. We will organise solidarity and raise practical support for the people of Greece; they cannot be made to pay for a crisis for which they are not responsible.

Saturday 18th of February, international mobilization day :
We are all Greeks!
When one people is attacked, all people are attacked.

Source: The Official Mikis Theodorakis Website

The 10th of February, the non elected Greece Government adopted a new hideous and destructive austerity plan, passed by the parliament (MPs voted 199-101 in favour) on the 12th of February.

The new austerity measures impose a 22% reduction in the minimum wage, which will remain frozen for the next three years; collective bargaining is simply cut; 15000 public sector workers are laid off and 150000 jobs will be destroyed due to the non-renewal of the contract…

The people of Greece is bravely rising up against social terror policies. With the media’s deafening silence, demonstrations, as well as general strikes, become more and more frequent despite the violent repression.

The people of Greece need the international solidarity and they call for our support . Let’s reply to their call. We are all Greek!

Their mobilization is clashing with the wall of an European and international dictatorship, the dictatorship of the financial markets and the troika: EU, ECB and IMF, who have imposed austerity measures and a non-elected government on the Greek.

The EU governments are involved in the dictatorship and they implement measures which are in the same line in the rest of the countries. Greece is being used as a laboratory before generalizing these measures. The situation is going to get even worse due to the new European Treaty project, which will impose the « golden rule » in our national constitutions.

We reject to sacrifice the people to the money, as do the Greeks.

Let’s regain the reins of our lives.

Switch off your computer, join the mobilization!

There will be demonstrations everywhere in solidarity with the mobilization of the people of Greece, Saturday the 18th of February.

(n. b.: … and also the days before)

From the official Mikis Theodorakis website

There is an international conspiracy whose target is the complete destruction of my country. They began in 1975 aiming at Modern Greek civilization, continued with the distortion of our modern history and our national identity and they are now trying to eliminate us biologically as well through unemployment, hunger and impoverishment. If Greek people don’t rise as one in order to prevent them, the danger of Greece becoming extinct is evident. I place it within the next ten years. There will be nothing left of us but the memory of our civilization and our battles for freedom.

Until 2009, there was no serious economic problem. The major wounds of our economy were the enormous expenses related to the purchase of war material and the corruption of a part of the political and economic-journalistic sector. For both of these wounds, foreigners are jointly responsible. Germans, for instance, as well as French, English and Americans, earned billions of Euros from annual sales of war material, to the detriment of our national wealth. That continuous hemorrhage brought us to our knees and did not permit us to move forward, while at the same time it made foreign nations prosperous. The same was true of the problem of corruption. The German company Siemens, for instance, maintained a special department for buying off Greek stakeholders in order to place its products in the Greek market. Hence, the Greek people have been victims of that predatory duo of Greeks and Germans, growing richer at their expense.

It is obvious that these two big wounds could have been avoided if the leaders of the two pro-American parties in power hadn’t been eroded by corrupt elements who resorted to excessive loans in order to cover the leakage of wealth (the product of the Greek people’s labor) into the hands of foreign countries, resulting in the public debt reaching 300 billion Euros, i.e. 130% of GDI (Gross Domestic Income).

Due to that confidence trick, the foreigners I mentioned before made a double profit: firstly from the sales of the weapons and their products. Secondly, from the interest on the money they lent to the governments and not to the people. As we have seen, the people were the primary victims in both cases. A single example should convince you: the interests on the one billion dollar loan that Andreas Papandreou received in 1986 from a big European country reached 54 billion Euros and was eventually paid back in … 2010!

Mr Juncker declared a year ago that he had realized the Greeks’ financial hemorrhage caused by the excessive (and compulsory) expenses in buying war materials exclusively from Germany and France. And he concluded that our sellers were leading us on a path to destruction. However, he confesses that he didn’t take any action in order not to hurt the interests of friendly countries!

In 2008 came the big financial crisis in Europe. It was therefore only logical that the Greek economy should be affected. However, our living standards, high enough for Greece to be ranked among the 30 richest countries in the world, remained unaffected. There was an increase, though, in public debt. But public debt doesn’t necessarily lead to financial crisis. There are big countries, like the U.S. and Germany, with debts amounting to trillions of Euros. The key is in economic growth and production. In that case, one can borrow from large Banks with an interest rate of up to 5%, until the crisis ends.

That was exactly our position in 2009, when the government shift took place in November and G. Papandreou took over as prime minister. In order for the current opinion of the Greek to become clearer I cite two figures: in the elections of 2009 PASOK gained 44% of the votes. Today the polls give PASOK 6% of the public support.

Mr. Papandreou could have dealt with the financial crisis (which as I have said reflected the European one) by borrowing from foreign Banks under the usual interest rate of under 5%. If he had done that, there wouldn’t have been the slightest problem for our country. In fact, the opposite would have occurred; because we were on an economic growth path, our standard of living would certainly have risen.

However, Mr. Papandreou had already begun his conspiracy against the Greek people since the summer of 2009, when he secretly met with Strauss-Kahn, with the objective of driving Greece under the domination of the IMF. The information concerning this meeting was released by the former President of the IMF himself.

For the situation to reach that end, the country’s real financial status had to be distorted, so that foreign Banks would become nervous and raise the loan interest rates to prohibitive figures. That odious project began with the phony raising of the Public Deficit from 9,2% to 15%. For that felonious deed, the District Attorney, Mr. Peponis indicted Messrs Papandreou and Papakonstantinou (Minister of Finance) 20 days ago. What followed was the systematic campaign by Mr. Papandreou and the Ministry of Finance throughout Europe that lasted 5 months, during which they tried to persuade the foreigners that Greece was a Titanic about to sink, that Greeks were corrupt, lazy and therefore incapable of dealing with the country’s needs. After each of their declarations the interest rates increased, so that it became impossible for us to borrow any more, giving IMF and the European Bank the appearance of being our slavation, when in reality it was the beginning of our death.

In May 2010 a single Minister signed the notorious Memorandum, our complete subservience to our lenders. Greek law stipulates, in such situations, that the adoption of such an important agreement must be decided by three fifths of the Parliament. Therefore, in essence, the Memorandum and the Troika that essentially govern us today, operate illegally not only under Greek but also under European law.

By now since then, if the steps leading us to our death are twenty, we are already more than half way there. Imagine that with this Memorandum we concede to foreigners our National Independence and our National Property. That is, our harbours, airports, road networks, electricity, water supply, subterranean and underwater wealth, etc., etc. Add to that our historical monuments, like the Acropolis, Delphi, Olympia, Epidaurus and such sites, since we have waived all our legal defenses.

Production has come to a standstill, the unemployment rate has reached 18%, 80.000 shops have closed down, along with thousands of small businesses and hundreds of industries. In total, 432.000 enterprises have shut down. Tens of thousands of young scientists are abandoning the country, which is every day sinking into medieval darkness. Thousands formerly wealthy citizens are scavenging on rubbish heaps and sleeping on the pavement.

In the meantime, we are supposed to be surviving thanks to the magnanimity of our lenders, the Europe of the Banks and the IMF. In reality, every package deal which charges Greece with tens of billions of Euros is repaid in full, while we are burdened with new unbearable interest rates. And since it is necessary to maintain the State, the Hospitals and the Schools, the Troika is burdening the middle and lower economic strata of society with excessive taxes, leading directly to starvation. A famine took place at the beginning of the German occupation in 1941, with 300.000 people dead in a period of 6 months. Since then, the ghost of hunger is now returning to our defamed and unfortunate country.

If one considers that the German occupation cost us one million people dead and the total destruction of our country, how is it possible for us Greeks to accept Ms Merkel’s threats and the Germans’ intention to impose on us a new Gauleiter… This time wearing a tie…

And to prove just how rich a country is Greece and how hard working and conscious the Greek people (conscious of their Debt to Freedom and love of their country), I cite as an example the time of the German occupation from 1941 until October of 1944.
When the SS and hunger killed one million citizens and the Wehrmacht was systematically destroying the country, and stealing all its agricultural production and the gold from the Banks, Greeks saved the people from hunger by creating the National Solidarity Movement and a partisan army of 100.000, which tied down 20 German divisions in our country.

At the same time not only did Greeks manage to survive thanks to their hard work, but there was also a large growth in Modern Greek art -especially in literature and music- under the terrible conditions of the occupation.
Greece chose the path of self-sacrifice for the sake of freedom and simultaneously of survival.

That is when we were unnecessarily punished, and we responded with Solidarity and Resistance and we survived. Now we are doing exactly the same thing, with the certainty that the Greek people will be the ultimate victors. This is the message I am sending to Ms Merkel and Mr Schäuble, declaring that I remain always a friend to the German People and a fan of their great contribution to Science, Philosophy, Art, and especially Music! And the ultimate evidence of that is probably that I have entrusted the whole of my musical work to two German Publishers, Schott and Breitkopf, who are among the greatest publishers of music in the world and my co-operation with them is extremely friendly.

They are threatening to throw us out of Europe. If Europe doesn’t want Greece to be a part of it, Greece, for her part, is 10 times more unwilling to be a part of this Merkel- Sarkozy Europe.

Today, Sunday February 12, 2012, I am about to take part in the demonstrations, along with Manolis Glezos, the hero who, in the past, took the swastika down from the Acropolis, signaling the beginning of resistance against Hitler, not only in Greece but throughout Europe. Today, our streets and our squares will be flooded with hundreds of thousands of citizens who will demonstrate their rage against the government and against theTroika.
I heard, yesterday, the banker-prime minister proclaiming to the Greek people that “we have reached point zero”. But who has led us to this ZERO point within two years? Those same people, who instead of having been imprisoned, blackmail the members of the parliament to sign the New Memorandum, which is even worse than the first one and which will be implemented by the same people following the same methodology which brought us to this point ZERO. Why? Because this is what the IMF and the Euro-Group dictates, blackmailing us that if we disobey, we will go bankrupt…This is a play of the theater of the absurd. All these parties who in fact hate us (foreigners and Greeks) and are the only ones responsible for the dramatic situation to which they have led our country, threaten and blackmail, aiming at continuing their devastating work, i.e. to lead us even beyond point ZERO, to our final elimination.

We have survived very difficult situations throughout the centuries and it is certain that if they lead us to the brink of death by force, Greeks will not only survive but they will be reborn.

At this point in time, I have devoted all my efforts to an attempt to dynamically unify the Greek people. I am trying to convince them that IMF and Troika is not a one-way street, that there is an alternative solution. And that solution is to radically change the course of our nation and turn towards Russia for economic co-operation and the setting up of joint ventures in order to exploit our natural wealth under beneficial terms that will safeguard our national interests.

As for Europe, I suggest we stop buying war material from Germany and France. And that we do everything in our power so that Germany pays back the war reparations they owe us and which currently amount to approximately–including the appropriate interest- 500 billion Euros.

The only force capable of effecting all these revolutionary changes is the Greek people, unified under a huge Front of Resistance and Solidarity in order to remove the Troika (the IMF and the European banks) from our country. At the same time all their illegal actions (loans, debts, interest, taxes, privatization of national wealth) should be considered as if they never took place. Naturally, their Greek partners, already condemned in our conscience as traitors, will have to be punished.

I am totally dedicated, body and soul, to this cause (the unification of the People in one Front) and I believe that I will be proved right in the end. I have fought, gun in hand, against Hitler’s occupation. I have experienced the Gestapo’s dungeons. I have been sentenced to death by Germans and have miraculously survived. In 1967 I founded PAF (The Patriotic Anti-dictatorial Front), the first resistance organization against the military junta. I fought underground, was caught and imprisoned in the junta’s “slaughterhouse”. Once again I survived.

I am today 87 years old and it is very possible that I will not live to see the salvation of my beloved country. But I will die with a clear conscience, because I will continue doing my Duty towards the ideals of Freedom and Justice until the end.

Filmmusic is a special category in Theodorakis’s repertoire. The list with films, Mikis Theodorakis composed the music for, is impressive and long. The entire list can be watched on the Internet Movie Database. The most known films with his music are Zorba the Greek, Z, Serpico, State of Siege, Les Amants de Teruel, Electra, Troyan Women… Several parts of films have been uploaded on YouTube, even full films, in a serial or in one long video, but a lot disappeared later, because of copyrights. To collect all the available films in playlists on YouTube the special Theodorakis-film-channel has been opened in June 2010: TheodorakisFilms. There are lists with films, parts of films, or soundtracks. Click here to find the playlist page.

To avoid copyright problems and the threat to be suspended and closed by the YouTube-team only films from other channels are collected there. If one of them disappears, all the other films will be still availabe.

It is a pity that films as Serpico, State of Siege and I Domiki have been the reason for the disappearing of the uploader’s channels: grummeper and projektor, both from our friend Per Rasmussen (Denmark). He has opened again another channel: solidaritet2010 The full film State of Siege has been uploaded there. Also all the soundtracks from the film.

That is the reason that Zorba the Greek got an own channel, and the film Z (Ζεί) as well. Not any other film will be uploaded there. If there will be another upload, with another film, there will be also, again, a new channel.

The collection in the TheodorakisFilms channel has to be updated very often. Today, for instance, I can find a film, add it to the channel in a playlist, and already some days later the film can be disappeared. If you might open a playlist with nothing in it as the grey cameras, then you know that again because of copyrights a channel has closed. I try to find enough time to update all the Theodorakis channels as soon as possible.

If you might find a channel with a film, and Mikis Theodorakis’s music: please send it!

Here follows a video from a concert with film-soundtracks, performed by the Dutch Metropole Orchestra, Dick Bakker, and Georgos Dalaras. Playlist with the full concert: click here.

Dear Friends of Mikis,

It has been almost a year ago since the latest Newsbulletin has been sent. Reason is my emigration from Netherlands to Norway: a too much demanding activity, not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. A huge step. Here you see Amsterdam, under the wings of my airplane when leaving Netherlands. A very special moment!

===

===

In the meantime a lot is going in Mikis Theodorakis’s activities. The most of them have been “twittered” via FriendsOfMikis. In the new YouTube design it is possible to add several external links, as you can watch here. There is a big Twitter button (blue with the white bird), and if you have a Twitter account you get all the news immediately on your own twitter. Also the favorites, comments, playlist adds and new videos. Much time for self made new videos is not left: I have more than one channel and all need updates.

It was not only the emigration that was taking my attention: I also followed Yanis Varoufakis’s blog with much interest and passion. Tried to learn more from him, about the Greek and European crisis. The Global Minotaur. Have been very active there in the comments on certain posts. Could express there my anger and frustrations about that what I felt as a threat for Greece and its people. Have commented sharp and strong, without any consideration for those who (in my eyes) ignore the problems, deny them, or try to offend even Mikis Theodorakis. A lot of young Greeks obviously don’t know who Mikis Theodorakis is. And accuse him for instance to arrive with a Mercedes, together with Manolis Glezos, a resistance hero, on Syntagma Square, Athens, February 12, 2012, …..

===

===

Here a serial with videos from Mikis Theodorakis in Athens, February 12, 2012, they are really shocking:

===

==

==

===

I stopped with following Varoufakis’s blog. It is more for professionals. And I do not believe that even the best economy professors have formulas to create solutions so complicated as we know now. In theory, maybe, in reality no. For the right formula you must have included all facets of a problem, and human beings are not clever enough to fathom life completely. Aristotle is not here to explain, and even if he was here, in the present, mankind would reject him. The solutions will be bitter and we don’t want bitterness, just wealth. Money. Possession. Capital. Money. To have. Not: ”to be”. To be or not to be is not a question anymore, Mister Shakespeare. To have is to die because of materialism and eating each other.

The Greek problems are so complex that I don’t know anymore who is right or wrong about it, what has been the reason, the cause, what could be the best solution. I read today on the Cretan website a long post written by Mikis Theodorakis. Translated it with google.translate, because I cannot read Greek, and the website does not have an English translation. Maybe one of you can help me with it?

What I understood is that Mikis tries to change the public opinion about Greece, by telling the truth about it.

To be fair to myself: I have to be honest about all, also about my view on what is Greece, as far as I am capable to say something about it, or to think that I understand a little bit of it, or knowing solutions…. I don’t know if this, what Mikis writes, is covering and solving the problem, if this is really the deepest truth. Create your own opinion: Μίκης Θεοδωράκης: ΠΡΟΣ ΤΗΝ ΔΙΕΘΝΗ ΚΟΙΝΗ ΓΝΩΜΗ Η ΑΛΗΘΕΙΑ ΓΙΑ ΤΗΝ ΕΛΛΑΔΑ

Create your own opinion by reading about Spitha, the movement, Elada. By watching some videos with information. Or by following Yanis Varoufakis’s blog. Other blogs.

Personally I do NOT believe that politics work.

Capitalism is NOT the solution, not even if it is born in USSR. Communism, as far as I see it, has proved to be just the other side of the same coin named money as where Capitalism is printed on. Otherwise it would NOT have been possible that Russia would become a capitalistic country. Why does Mikis Theodorakis trust Russia, what blossoms now with the same capitalism as the USA once, and where he spits on?

Capitalism is old and outdated, as war is, hunger. It is time for real human changes. To get rid of the masks and the dust politics create. Evolution instead of revolution.

Therefore I believe in other systems, born out of the people. They are creating an uplifting, positive energy. Read more about Boroume, and also about all the alternative moneysystems like the Cretan “Kaereti”, the English “Brixton”, the Dutch “Noppes” and so many more. About share-economics. There are even people who live successful and happy without money, like Raphael Fellmer and his wife and child.

I believe in alternative movements, smelling maybe like political parties but independent, not for the one self but for ALL, like ELADA, born out of Spitha, created by Mikis. Another wonderful Greek organisation is Boroume, the Greek foodbank, founded by Xenia Papastavrou. It is incredible that she is still waiting for a sign from the government to make it official, she wrote me, to be able to have a bankaccount for it, with a number, to donate money. I already wait more than two months. Her work is great. She is not doing this alone, there is a wonderful growing team. All is based on thrown away food, or food what otherwise should be thrown away. There is too much food! But no money to buy it.

Though I do not always agree with Mikis Theodorakis’s ideas about politics, my ideas are in balance with my “work” for Mikis Theodorakis. He opened my heart for Greece. His music has touched me, made remember me my Self, who I am, awakened the rebellion in me, my strength, my compassion, my passion for all what sounds Greek or is Greek.

I invite you to visit my YouTube channel TheodorakisFriends, where you can find links to important websites, videos in 128 playlists and the newest ones in the favorites. You can follow me on my channels (also the Theodorakis film channels), my twitter and this blog.

Thank you for your attention, and for being Mikis’ friends. That is more than liking only his music. The music is from his spirit, heart, soul, and his political view on Greece and activities as well: “Greece is my religion….” he said. I understand that. And you? Joining the March of the Spirit?
